#GirlsToo
Girls Inc. is proud to announce the launch of a new campaign called #GirlsToo. This national campaign will focus on sexual harassment and assault in the lives of youth, particularly girls, with actions aimed at changing the norms and stereotypes that fuel these behaviors.
Respect starts young. From an early age, young people receive limiting and harmful messages about how girls and boys should behave and be treated. One in four girls is the victim of sexual violence by age 18, 7 in 10 girls are sexually harassed in high school.
Girls alone cannot fix this - nor should they have to. It's going to take each and every one of us. The problem is vast but change is achievable.
The first step? Take the #GirlsToo Pledge and you'll get a list of actions you can take to start creating change. Then share the pledge with everyone you know and ask them to take it too!
